At this place, various preparations and creative activities are currently underway.
These notes document what is happening along the way, across both environment-building and making.
There is still very little visible progress in the form of finished work.
However, thinking about making has not stopped, and several ideas continue to circulate.
At the same time, the working environment has gradually taken shape.
The desk and shelves are arranged with the assumption that they will be used.
At this stage, the focus is less on deciding what to make, and more on preparing a state in which making can continue.
Around this time, preparations for the place began to take visible shape. The work itself had not started. What came first was arranging an environment where making could take place. Ease of use and freedom. Function and openness. Adjustments continue—with pauses in between—to avoid leaning too far in any one direction.
In early summer, time was spent at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The purpose was not to present work, but to be present—and to exchange brief conversations with people who continue making. These moments may not lead directly to outcomes, but they remain quietly influential when thinking about place and process.
